Q. I am building a new home. Do I need a termite management system installed?
A. Termites are tiny creatures that can cause extensive damage to your home. Research suggests termites in Australia are causing economic damage of more than $1.5 billion to homes every year.
There are many benefits of having a termite barrier installed on your home. Most importantly, it protects your investment and keeps your home in good condition. It also helps to ensure that your home is termite-free, which can save you a lot of money in the long run. It is also mandatory. Your new home is required to have a built-in termite management system.

Q. How do I know if I have a Kordon Termite System installed?
A. A Kordon Termite System is installed during the construction process so you may not be able to see it. The best way to check is to look for a Kordon sticker inside the door of your sink or in your power/meter box.

To upgrade to the Envu Protection Warranty you will first need check that your property is eligible. It needs to have a full Kordon Termite System Installation. Partial installs or renovations do not apply. You can call us here at the Warranty Centre if you need to check.
Then you need to get a termite inspection from a Envu Accredited Timber Pest Inspector, to check your property is eligible. Provided the property is eligible, you will then need to pay a fee of $99 for 12 months’ cover.
Q. How do I renew my Envu Protection Warranty?
A. To renew your Envu Protection Warranty you will need to arrange a timber pest inspection by a Envu Accredited Timber Pest Inspector, just before the expiration date of your current warranty (the cost of the inspection is paid to the inspection company). You will then need to pay a fee of $99 for a further 12 months’ cover.
Q. What happens if I don’t renew my Envu Protection Warranty?
A. Your Envu Protection Warranty is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase or renewal. If you decide not to renew it, any homes protected by a Kordon Termite System will still have the Limited Kordon Product Warranty for a period of six years from the original installation date (subject to annual inspection by a licensed timber pest inspector). If the Limited Kordon Product Warranty has also expired your property will not be covered by a warranty.
